New Joy Division & new Mick Jones!

Joy Division’s back catalogue is to be reissued with extra material to coincide with the release of ‘Control’, the biopic about their singer Ian Curtis.

Both the band’s studio albums, ‘Unknown Pleasures’ and ‘Closer’, and the live album ‘Still’ will be out on September 10 featuring additional CDs of live material.

The film, directed by the band’s old friend and collaborator Anton Corbijn, is due for release on October 5.

The extra CDS are as follows:

‘Unknown Pleasures’ extra CD:
Live At Factory Manchester and The Moonlight Club, West Hampstead

Closer extra CD:
Live at ULU

‘Still’ extra CD:
Live At High Wycombe

And also from the NME today (http://www.nme.com/news/the-clash/30193), comes news of Clash/BAD guitarist etc Mick Jones‘ new band (along with ex-Chelsea/Generation X/Sigue Sigue Sputnik’s Tony James) Carbon/Silicon. The band will release album ‘The Last Post’ - on October 8.
