The Collapse of Moz

Morrissey collapses during This Charming Man in Swindon. Story from the BBC

Former Smiths singer Morrissey has been taken to hospital after collapsing on stage with breathing difficulties.

Eyewitnesses said the 50-year-old fell to the floor during a performance of his former band’s song This Charming Man at Oasis Leisure Centre in Swindon.

Two of his current band’s members took him off stage and an ambulance took him to Great Western Hospital, where his condition was described as “stable”.

Pulp to return in 2010?

According to the NME, the answer is yes!

Jarvis Cocker has said that Pulp are “coming back” – and that they are interested in playing Glastonbury 2010.

The singer told The People that the Sheffield band, who have been inactive since the release of 2001 album ‘We Love Life’, have already talked about the possibility of playing the Worthy Farm event together.

“Glastonbury means an awful lot to me, I would love to play there again,” he said. “We’ve talked about it, there we go, there’ll be a band reunion.”
